Objects in Image Are Not as Cool as They Appear!. Okay, this is the main layout image to layout 6: the zombies of death!! I got it in me head to do a zombie inspired image because of the line from the Clash song, "London Calling" and this has always been the basic set up of it, although the weapon I was wielding changed. It started out as a sword, then a bat, then chair, then chainsaw, but I couldn't draw one (YOU try it!). A friend suggested an "odd blunt object" then specifically, a computer monitor. I thought that would be good because of my constant computer frustration and all. I drew this pic as a black and white line drawing then scanned it into Adobe where I colored in the black and red parts, including the solid black clothing, the hair and blood splatters. The original image looks a bit disappointing on its own, but I knew once I added in the blood it would look okay and I think it does. I'm especially pleased with that blood, oh yes. So, why just black, white and red? I guess I was going for something a little Frank Miller-esque. Did I accomplish that? I'm undecided as far as that goes, but I still like it. Anyways, the title of the pic is based on something similar Ghastly at Ghastly's Ghastly Comic once said about a band poster he made and I thought it was funny and that was one of the first things I thought of when I looked at this caricature of myself; I'm just not that cool, really. The tee shirt is an original design for a phrase from the punk band the Cramps. It does not actually exist in real life, oh well.
