Our founder, Sir Bloody William Salutations, traveler of The Internets! Welcome to William's Bloody Hell, so named after our founder, Sir Bloody William. He is seen in the likeness above in a rare, 19th century woodcut. This image was rumoured to have been commissioned after a bout of unpleasantness in the White Chapel district of London. Do enjoy your stay and peruse our many, varied offerings, much of which cannot be found elsewhere!

:: Today's soundtrack:  The Smiths "Ask" ::

 Sorry, but nothing clever or witty this week. I'm just here today to inform you all that I've purchased a domain and will be moving soon.

This whole thing with me having a website started out as a fun little thing to do on my weekends and post my sketches and illustrations online to show off. Well  it's grown into something I really like to do and gone beyond the experiment to see if I'll like it and stick with it. In fact, I enjoy it so much, I've finally outgrown it here and decided to spend money on it.

Geocities was fine for my beginning and getting used to have a website and stuff, but I'm getting tired of people telling that my bandwidth has been exceeded. With a Geocities free site, you get 15MG worth of memory and 3GB worth of bandwidth. My site is pretty picture-heavy and I've near used up all that 15MG already.

So, I've purchased http://williamsbloodyhell.com from 1and1.com on the recommendation of a visitor who was also frustrated with my bandwidth issues on geocities. Sure, I could have stuck with geocities and just upgraded my package with them. For $5 a month with geocities I could go from 15MG to 25MG of memory and also from 3GB to 5GB of bandwidth, and I would also get the added bonus of keeping my current web address. However, with 1and1, it is still $5 a month, and I get the 5GB bandwidth, but also 500MG worth of memory. 500MG!!! Who can argue with that much memory? And I also get a more easy to remember URL out of the deal.

Well, it's been a sweet little 10 month run here on Geocities, but it is time to move on and expand. Geocities can no longer fit my needs, simple as that. I'm hoping to have my new site up and running fully by next weekend. There is nothing on it now, but hopefully by next Sunday or so. All the same features will still be there in the same easy to use navigation, but I'll also add a few neat-o new tricks. I'm currently working on a new snazzy layout for the new site. This one is fine and all, but it is all too... white. I knew I'd go back to black sooner or later and yep her it comes.

Thank you all for putting up all the bandwidth issues and such and I hope to see you at the new and improved Hell.

William (new proud domain owner)
