:: Today's soundtrack: Gomez "Getting Better" ::

Well, these rants have been a bit down lately, so I decided to cheer myself up with a lovely little list of wonderful things.

Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. Okay, whomever invented chocolate and peanut butter deserves the Nobel Peace Prize. Is there truly a better taste combo? I think not.

Double Stuff Oreos. A close second on the flavor combo list is chocolate and cream. But, let's be real here, ever since Oreo became available in double stuff, why even bother getting regular Oreos? Who here doesn't love attempting the Quadruple Stuff? Mmmmm!

The Harry Potter Books. I just finished a reread of all five books in a row. It gives me a good happy on the inside. They're fun, cute and only have two continuity errors over five books. That's pretty good.

A Good Sandwich. Alright, now you're going to think I'm odd, but haven't you noticed how much better everything seems after you've had a really, really good sandwich?

Comic Books. After I get my monthly stash, it's like the whole world just melts away. Now, I'm lost in a wonderful world of fiction with pretty pictures.

Getting E-mail. You know, I'll admit I love it. It doesn't matter if it's just a contest entry or anything, because somehow, in some small way, I'm noticed. I really like fun, happy e-mail, so e-mail away!

Thick Crust Pizza. Why do they even MAKE thin crusts anymore? Honestly? Gotta love that chewy-crusty goodness. Droooool....

Kitties! Yes, I wuv kitties. The most cute quadruped on the planet if you ask me. Life would sure be a lot less cute without kitties in it.

Drawing. Yeah, I haven't had as much time I'd like lately, or any particularly creative burst, but I'd like to thank Germ for giving me a fun drawing project. I love to draw, but can lack for ideas. If anyone ever wants a doodle or anything, just ask. It'll make my day.

Danny Elfman Scores. Maybe it's just because the Batman films are circulating on CBC, but you got to admit that's some great composition! Who doesn't love the soundtrack to Nightmare? Or Edward Scissorhands? I dare you to diss 'em.

Old Black and White Sci-Fi/Horror Movies. Got to love the oldies. Currently in my rotation are the films in the Legacy Collection, which if you ask me, is the only good thing to come out of Van Helsing (crap). Werewolves of London, which predated the Wolf-man, and could possibly be the first werewolf film ever, is a wonderful old treasure. Also loving the original Invasion of the Body Snatchers and The Day the Earth Stood Still. Gort, klatu verata nictu.

Okay, it's working. Just thinking about a glass of milk with some Oreos and a good ol' pile of comics is enough to make this gloomy-gus smile a bit. That and the mental image of dogs and cats wearing top hats and speaking in English accents.... Becca, you weirdo.
