Our founder, Sir Bloody William Salutations, traveler of The Internets! Welcome to William's Bloody Hell, so named after our founder, Sir Bloody William. He is seen in the likeness above in a rare, 19th century woodcut. This image was rumoured to have been commissioned after a bout of unpleasantness in the White Chapel district of London. Do enjoy your stay and peruse our many, varied offerings, much of which cannot be found elsewhere!

:: Today's soundtrack: Moby "Natural Blues" ::

The following is a public service announcement.

If you know some one who has a birthday during the month of December, for the love of all god and your own body, DO NOT get them an X-mas gift and say "oh and it's for your birthday, too." This. Is not. Cool. Just don't do it. You are allowed to forget someone's birthday or even not get them anything at all. You are not obligated, you know, and people should be grateful to get any gift at any time, but when you tack on the fact that this is a "combination gift," you just outright insult them. Be honest and say you forgot, or better yet, don't even mention it! There are very few people I even buy birthday presents for, heck most of my friends I don't even know WHEN their birthday IS! If you STILL feel lame, lie and say that their other gift is on order and coming in the mail, or hey, there's always a card that you can make yourself at the last minute!

The combination gift racket has been going on for far too long! How would you feel if during your birthday party in June, all of YOUR friends said, "here's your present, and it's for X-mas, too"? Just because somebody's birthday HAPPENS to be near X-mas should not deprive them of the gift you would have otherwise given them had they been born in any of the other eleven months out of the year. On behalf of all of you Sagittariuses and Capricorns out there, I feel your pain.

William (the more you know)
