Our founder, Sir Bloody William Salutations, traveler of The Internets! Welcome to William's Bloody Hell, so named after our founder, Sir Bloody William. He is seen in the likeness above in a rare, 19th century woodcut. This image was rumoured to have been commissioned after a bout of unpleasantness in the White Chapel district of London. Do enjoy your stay and peruse our many, varied offerings, much of which cannot be found elsewhere!

So, in case you weren't aware, I'm pretty geeky. Yes, I watch my films in widescreen and my comic books are slowly taking over my home. I know I am far from alone in this. There are, in fact, other geeks out there. It's just a matter of finding the "right" geek, as there are very distinct geek "cliques." Allow me to elaborate:

Computer/Tech Geeks. Quite possibly the original founding fathers of all things geeky. These guys not only own the latest in computer technology, but, heck, probably built their machine themselves. They are also very gifted in the software/programming department. Whether it's hooking up the best in home entertainment systems or coding a website, these guys know all.

Sci-Fi Geeks. They usually know their way around the computer, but mostly for the forums and latest news on the latest "thing." They admire not only what computers are NOW, but what they will BECOME. Any book, movie, or television show involving the future, space travel, robots or any sort of advance technology, and they've seen it at least 3 times.

Movie Geeks. They may like to refer to themselves as "buffs", but face it, you're all geeks! Admirers of nearly all things film, they very rarely stick to just one genre. While some are more select than others, many will see just about anything ever put to celluloid. They are also quite knowledgeable of the actors, directors, studios or anything else behind-the-scenes-y and therefore could kick your ass at trivia.

Comic Book/Anime Geeks. Avid readers of particularly comic books, but such fans of what they've read that they'll support almost anything spawned from the books (ie, television series, films). Also not discriminatory towards genre, preferring to be fanatical of nearly anything the medium can produce, be it super heroes, giant fighting robots, or a romance story. Meticulous towards details, they can recite an entire series' continuity, even if it has been going on for 20 years.

Collectible Geeks. They're all grown up, but they still love their toys! Whether reclaiming lost youth or just plain admiring the craftsmanship, these guys collect not only action figures, but also mini statues, posters, autographs or any sort of paraphernalia associated with a particular actor, film, comic book, series, etc (ie, T-shirts, mugs, possibly bed sheets....). Renown packrats, they hardly ever throw anything away, and nearly every nook and cranny in their home is used for display.

Gaming Geeks. Whether it's with 20 sided dice, a controller, or a mouse, these guys got game. They can be pretty stringent when it comes to rules, but can be quite clever about bending the rules without technically breaking them. Decent strategists, they are always savvy to the number one rule: always make your opponent think they're in control, especially when they're not.

Okay, so these are the six major geek cliques. Some people may crossover into another clique, or hang out with another group. Tech Geeks may or not also be Sci-Fi Geeks, a Comic Book Geek may or not also be a Collectible Geek, etc. A Sci-Fi Tech Geek may watch a movie with giant robots and be able to tell you why that robot wouldn't work in real life. A Comic Book Collectibles Geek obsessed with Inuyasha may expand his obsession beyond the comics and animated series to action figures, posters, stuffed animals, and even as far as cosplay.

So, are there any other mutated Comic Book/Anime/Movie/Collectible Geeks out there? Yep, that's me alright, just looking for those kindred souls out there. What kind of geek are you, my dears?
