Our founder, Sir Bloody William Salutations, traveler of The Internets! Welcome to William's Bloody Hell, so named after our founder, Sir Bloody William. He is seen in the likeness above in a rare, 19th century woodcut. This image was rumoured to have been commissioned after a bout of unpleasantness in the White Chapel district of London. Do enjoy your stay and peruse our many, varied offerings, much of which cannot be found elsewhere!

No surprise alert: I like comic books. I'm sure you figured that all out on your own, what with the sordid details of my vacation last week. There's this meme going around which I discovered courtesy of the insidiously ingenious Invincible Super Blog, that I kind of feel compelled to fill out here. Now, in all of the time of this site's life span, I have never once resorted to filling out surveys or memes to fill space, but what can I say?

Fifty Reasons Why I Like Comic Books (in no particular order!)

1. Superman versus Manchester Black and the Elite!

2. Marv Wolfman and George Perez on The NEW Teen Titans!

3. ...Specifically, Terra and the "Judas Contract." (I love betrayal!)

4. V blowing buildings up to the strains of the 1812 Overture

5. The original New Mutants

6. John Byrne on the Fantastic Four!

7. That one time Nightcrawler tried to get Starfire to makeout with him so she could learn German

8. Colossus and Shadowcat smoochies!

9. Knowing I can count on seeing Doug Ramsey every time Marvel does an alternative reality/timeline story.

10. Catwoman pwning Black Mask

11. Damien Scott's run on Batgirl

12. After Lex Luthor got elected President, Superman accidentally burned two giant spots with his heat vision on the Whitehouse because he was so ticked

13. The Joker in "No Man's Land"

14. Grant Morrison's Doom Patrol

15. ... and the fact that he had Robotman there to point out whenever things got too fucked up or beyond human comprehension

16. ...oh and Crazy Jane

17. Two words: Battle. Royale.

18. Barbara Gordon and Dick Grayson smoochies!

19. The Punisher's reply to the shocked looks the other heroes gave him when he shot dead some criminals attempting to join their team in "Civil War"

20. Laurie and John's conversation on Mars

21. Sandman: "A Game of You"

22. Strangers in Paradise: "I Dream of You"

23. Chynna Clugston!

24. The Scourge saying "Justice is served!!"

25. Robin contracting The Clench

26. Batman laying out Guy Gardner with one punch, man

27. Zatanna in her fishnet magician get up (rawr)

28. "The Dark Phoenix Saga"

29. Silver Age science! Because as long as it sounded vaguely plausible and sciencey, it could happen in the Silver Age, folks!

30. The Ultimate Nullifier (but where can *I* buy one?)

31. Unstable Molecules (handy! because it's science!)

32. The fact that Wolverine can participate in no less than four adventures every month simultaneously

33. Drawings of Tony Stark holding a martini (funny every single time!)

34. Scott McDaniel on Nightwing

35. Young Justice!

36. Just about everything concerning Runaways!

37. Fables

38. Everything I've read so far in Invincible

39. Y the Last Man!

40. Dream and Death's relationship

41. The Amber-Mark/Invincible-Atom Eve triangle

42. Serenity Rose #5

43. The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen volume 2

44. "Face it, Tiger. You hit the jackpot!"

45. "Sweet Christmas!"

46. Serena Valentino

47. The utter silliness that is Ranma 1/2

48. Buffy season 8

49. 16 years of Chris Claremont on Uncanny X-men!

50. The fact that Marvel has a super powered guy named Guido

There you have it. Sure, there are loads more, but this is just top of the head, no visual aid stuff. I mean, I'm not going to sit here all night scanning panels for your amusement. Well, I could, but I won't. At least not right now. maybe some other time. If you're good. Yes, this was rather cop-out-ish of me to do, but hey, even I can't be 100% original ALL the time!
